WBUQ TO HOLD BENEFIT CONCERT FOR WOMEN’S CENTER

WBUQ 91.1 FM has announced a ska concert to benefit the Women’s Center on Wednesday, February 24 at 8 PM in Kehr Union Multiroom A.

The Tempers and PDA, two local ska bands, will perform to benefit the Columbia County Women’s Center in downtown Bloomsburg. A free will offering will be accepted at the door.

This concert is one of many events that WBUQ has organized to benefit local organizations. Last semester, a concert to benefit Big Brothers/Sister of Bloomsburg was organized through WBUQ.

"As part of our commitment to the campus and community, we are proud to be able to offer the music of emerging local bands to benefit community organizations," says Greg Albert, Specialty Director for WBUQ.

"This is just a taste of what is to come from WBUQ," Albert said.

This is the first of many concerts for PDA, who will be opening for the Tempers. PDA is scheduled to perform at Lebanon Valley College in April.
