WBUQ 91.1 FM to broadcast interview with national recording artist, Overmars

BLOOMSBURG — WBUQ 91.1 FM will interview national recording artist "Overmars" this Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m., according to General Manager Greg Albert.

Overmars will be promoting their nationally-released album and their upcoming appearance at the Ballroom Blitz concert, scheduled for Saturday, November 13 from 6 p.m. to midnight in the Kehr Union Ballroom.

The Ballroom Blitz concert, co-sponsored by the Program Board and WBUQ, will feature local bands in addition to Overmars. Also confirmed for the concert are Left to Stand, the 12, and Dionysus, who opened for Love Seed Mama Jump earlier this semester.

"WBUQ is committed to the discovery and promotion of new artists," Albert said. “We are a station committed to the music and to the artists that make the music we play."

Overmars is currently promoting their full-length album, "Highlife," recently released on Lightyear Entertainment. "Black Wheel" is their first nationally-released single from "Highlife." Named after a world-class soccer hero, Overmars got their break from a demo tape that they sent to tons of record labels.
