CHIEF OF BUPD TO BE ON WBUQ

University Police Chief Maggie Boykin will appear on WBUQ 91.1 FM on Monday, March 22 from 8-9 PM to discuss campus issues.

Boykin will also play her three favorite discs on "Island Essentials"--a segment in which President Jessica Kozloff has participated in the past.

Boykin appeared on Greg Albert’s show last semester to explain some general campus policies and to discuss concerns such as Orange lot lighting and parking policies.

This Monday Boykin will focus on the alcohol initiative in Bloomsburg, and will discuss any questions and concerns students and community have with this initiative.

"We are pleased that Chief Boykin has chosen our station as a medium for discussion," said Greg Albert, General Manager at WBUQ and the DJ whose show Boykin will appear on.

"As a campus and community-oriented station, this just gives us another opportunity to interact with the community in a positive manner," Albert said.

Campus security and parking concerns as well as any others general concerns will be addressed. Listeners can call 389-2891 to get their questions addressed on air.
