Huge enclosed market in the heart of Philly with about every kind of food that you could ever want. Definitely check out the groceries, which are definitely worth the walk, especially if you live in the city.
One of the cooler bar scenes in Philadelphia. The Ritz was formed inside an old bank, and sitting inside, you can definitely tell. It's a very large open bar room with dome ceilings and plenty of drinks/dinner seating.
Drinks, as you might suspect, were pricey, but were very tasty. I'd recommend going here at least once when you're in Philly. It's a block from City Hall.

One of the nicer/cleaner hotels in the heart of Philly, or at least the part of Philly that you want to go to. Rooms are spacious and clean, they have a nice bar and the service is pretty pleasant.
Though it's a tourist spot, I still highly recommend the cheesesteaks here. It's directly next to Pat's, which is the original cheesesteak in Philly.
Very good cheesesteaks and cheese fries. The counter staff is not terribly patient, but they're not too bad.
As a tip, to order a cheesesteak with cheez whiz (the preferred way) and with onions, you'd say "one whiz wit". Yes, you don't use the "h" in "with". If you don't want onions, it's "one whiz witout".
