| 6th St is a great place to get a drink and listen to some live music. It's a hangout of University of Texas (U of T) students, so it's always a lively atmosphere. 6th St really turns on around 7pm but livens up around 10:30/11 and doesn't stop until well into the night. |

| The mecca for anyone who has ever sampled Shiner beer. You can enjoy Shiner Bock, Hefeweizen, Lite, Summer, etc. It's an interesting tour and a magical place. It's also an hour and a half waaaay outside of Austin, but well worth the ride. |

| The Warehouse District is a much, much more subdued area than 6th St. It's for the 30+ crowd and has some great restaurants and lively bars. Typically bar patrons are business casual, but that doesn't mean they can't get a little wild and enjoy a great beer. |

| Yet again, it's a good ways outside of Austin (about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic). But, it's the best barbecue that I've ever eated. The brisket is amazing as is the sausage. Though, truth be told, the ribs went down quite easy too. This is in a one-horse town--Lockhart. They've got a nice city hall, but that's about it. |

| Located on 6th St, this is one of my favorite "drunk food" places at the end of the night. They have lite jazz throughout the night. Generally I either get a po-boy or jambalya or something else, after many, many Shiner Bocks. |
