| I'm becoming a huge fan of Hampton Inns, and this one is no different. Decent sized rooms, very reasonable price (around 115/night on the weekend). Free hot breakfast and free internet. Sits at the top of Route 14, which allows you to hit all of the wineries before the crowds, as the crowds normally start south and go north. Nice tile floor in the bathrooms, nice amenities (fitness center, pool, hot tub). Good coffee. |

| Right near the intersection of 20/5 and 14, a nice little Italian eatery. We had a decent antipasta, which was a little light on the meat and heavy on the lettuce. I had the Veal Vitelli Nonna, which was veal with eggplant and mozzarella cheese. Excellent. Julianne had the Basil Pesto, which was also good. For wine, I'd recommend the bottle of Wagner Red (their house). For the price, very good. Overall, the wine prices were very reasonable. In the 15-25 dollar range, for the most part. |

| Kudos to a man in wine country who owns a liquor store. After going there to purchase a corkscrew, he tried to upsell us to New York wine (after purchasing 50 bottles in the last two days). Open late on Sundays (until 9am) and has a good hard liquor selection. |
