WBUQ hosts interview on finding careers BLOOMSBURG — In the spirit of the recent career and internship expo on campus, WBUQ 91.1 FM interviewed JoAnne Day, Director of the Internship Office, and Carol Barnett, Director of Career Development on Tuesday, Nov. 16. Barnett and Day discussed topics important ot students, including some key components to resume building, the interview process, and also what to expect from a typical internship. They also answered frequently asked questions and offered advice for everything from researching a company to making the right contacts. "We welcome these two helpful and resourceful people on campus who chose WBUQ as a medium to answer students’ questions," said Greg Albert, General Manager for WBUQ. "We will continue this same type of community programming in the future which benefits both the students and community." WBUQ is taking a proactive approach to community programming. The station plans to feature more guest speakers in the future and get “behind the scenes” information on faculty, staff, administration, and community leaders. WBUQ 91.1 FM is a student-run radio station, serving Bloomsburg University and the surrounding community.
